If you haven't seen "Dark Star," you're in for a treat. It was made in the early 1970s by John Carpenter and written by him and Dan O'Bannon (Alien, Lifeforce, Total Recall, Return of the Living Dead). It's a sci-fi comedy that goes into some pretty weird tangents.

Treat? Man, not the word I would use for it. I would go more for the phrase: life-sucking bane to humanity. That's just me though. ;)

I just saw Sunshine, and really enjoyed it. Never heard of it before this thread.
