Ok, how about this for an idea.  We take it in turns to post a favourite (British spelling) comic cover every day.  This went really well on the comic fan website that I used to frequent.  What we tried to do was find a theme or subject and follow that, until we all got bored with that theme.  I'd like to propose a theme of letters of the alphabet. So, for the remainder of October (only 5 days) and all of November, we post comic cover pictures associated with the letter "A".  Then in December, we post covers pertaining to the letter "B".  The association to the letter can be as tenuous as you want it to be. For example I could post a cover from "Adventure Comics" or "Amazing Spider Man".  However Spider Man covers can also be posted when we're on the letter "S".  Adventure Comic covers could also be posted when we're on the letter "L" if they depict the Legion of Super Heroes.  So, no real hard, fast rules - in fact the cleverer the interpretation of the letter, the better, as far as I'm concerned.

And it's not written in stone that we have to post a cover every day. There may be some days when no cover gets posted. There's nothing wrong with this, it just demonstrates that we all have lives to lead.

If everyone's in agreement I'd like to kick this off with one of my favourite Action Comic covers, from January 1967. Curt Swan really excelled himself here.

This was the first super-hero wedding comic that I saw, having missed at the time, the recent Quicksilver/Crystal and Vision /Scarlet Witch nuptials !

You could try rafting...

I'll give it a try next time I visit the Statue of Liberty.

Another thing I'm enjoying in this post-Covid world is the ability to relax in bars once again...

...and going clubbing.

I don't think I'd fancy that particular bar very much!

In the before times, I used to holiday in Germany each year.  That didn't happen in 2020, and I'm not planning on going this year either, which means I haven't had a chance to practise my German language skills for a while.  However, with a little help from Google Translate, I think I've worked out what's being said on this cover.

Purple-and-white shirt guy: "Oh yes...sex is just totally a thing of the past..."
First green blouse girl: "Too boring to waste a single word on it..."
Blue jacket guy: "Brings nothing but trouble!"
Second green blouse girl: "Exactly, I haven't taken the pill for months!"
Barman: "I'm still a virgin...and I've been married for 10 years!"
Guy at table: "You know, I don't find you the least bit exciting!"
Girl at table: "That's good, because I'm frigid!"

Spectator interference, I'd say.

Our mad road trip takes us to Mount Rushmore:

Hulk's roadtrip took him there, too.

People always like vacationing at Disney World though I think these guys get in for free!
