Ok, how about this for an idea. We take it in turns to post a favourite (British spelling) comic cover every day. This went really well on the comic fan website that I used to frequent. What we tried to do was find a theme or subject and follow that, until we all got bored with that theme. I'd like to propose a theme of letters of the alphabet. So, for the remainder of October (only 5 days) and all of November, we post comic cover pictures associated with the letter "A". Then in December, we post covers pertaining to the letter "B". The association to the letter can be as tenuous as you want it to be. For example I could post a cover from "Adventure Comics" or "Amazing Spider Man". However Spider Man covers can also be posted when we're on the letter "S". Adventure Comic covers could also be posted when we're on the letter "L" if they depict the Legion of Super Heroes. So, no real hard, fast rules - in fact the cleverer the interpretation of the letter, the better, as far as I'm concerned.
And it's not written in stone that we have to post a cover every day. There may be some days when no cover gets posted. There's nothing wrong with this, it just demonstrates that we all have lives to lead.
If everyone's in agreement I'd like to kick this off with one of my favourite Action Comic covers, from January 1967. Curt Swan really excelled himself here.

It would be nice to be able to start looking for covers for use after June. Here's the most recent list of suggestions that I can find. "Cats" would be dead easy (and thus, perhaps, a welcome relief after this month). Do we have any other suggestions, or comments on the list?

Suggestions for later months have included:
- Cats & cat-themed adventurers
- Characters wielding unfeasibly large guns
- Bridges
- The Moon (chosen for June)
- Working with villains (chosen for May)
- Mothers & Fathers
- Falling down
- Robots
- New costumes (either permanent or one-shots)
There have been upvotes for "working with villains", "new costumes", "the moon" and "bridges", and a downvote for "new costumes". Any further thoughts?
Some more suggestions:

That's not the only time that Swamp Thing and Solomon Grundy cooperated. Marshland muck-monsters gotta stick together, after all!
That's a Heap of good advice.
I recall Man-bat being more of a villain in his first few appearances, but the grey areas are saving us this month. If nobody posts them first, I'm good to the 18th with the current theme, plus one "crossover" one for the 31.
At the time of Super Friends #28, Man-Bat had starred in a short run of his own title (2 issues), co-starred with Batman in Brave & Bold #119 and had his own feature in both Detective Comics and Batman Family complete with villains of his own!

I still have Man-bat #2. I can't be bothered to pull it, but he fights the "Ten-Eyed Man" and I recall we learn that, in this version of things, Gotham is not far from Detroit. I just meant that he could be a villain, especially in Super-Friends, which seemed to have its own internal reality.
But in that Super Friends, Robin calls Man-Bat a hero!

Right now I have 10 “working with villains” covers, although some aren’t that creative, four moon covers (I haven’t been looking much) and three bridges covers — those latter two sets include a moon and bridges cover.
”Cats” should be a walk in the park for us, and I’m already brainstorming “flag” covers. Philip’s other suggestion of vampires and werewolves would be a great fit for October.
