Ok, here's an idea for a fun contest. I post a section from a comic cover and you guys try and guess what cover it's from.Whoever guesses correctly, gets to post a portion of a cover themselves, and we all get to guess. It's not good form to post a very tiny part of the cover, as it makes the contest too difficult.
Here's my starter - a clue is that this particular cover (like all of mine) is from the Silver-Age.
In addition to its T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents titles Tower published Archie-style teen humour comics starring a girl called Tippy Teen. Atlas/Seaboard reprinted some of the stories in Vicki. No. 4 above is the cover of Tower's Tippy's Friends Go-Go and Animal #2. The GCD tells me the art was by Samm Schwartz.
The clue gives away the theme, which is superheroes with A symbols. (Animal Man, Aquaman, Amazing Man from All-Star Squadron.)
Clue: the inker of no 2 was not the penciller. I think the inker's style can be recognised. If you can name him, try to name the penciller. If you can get them both you should know where and even when (to within three years) the cover appeared.
Maybe a larger image...?
