Just finished reading this book - an autobiography of long-time MAD contributor, Al Jaffee. The title's a bit of a giveaway, I suppose. The book is illustrated by Jaffee himself, both with scenes from his life and some representative samples of his work in MAD.  It's quite an interesting read - Jaffee's had a really bizarre life (as you might have suspected) and been some strange places.  There's also a bit that goes into how he creates the MAD fold-ins, which I found particularly interesting.  Even if you're not an especial fan of Jaffee's, it's still an interesting story in and of itself, stretching from the Bronx to Savannah to rural Lithuania to Provincetown and beyond.  Good stuff.
