Maggie Thompson has tweeted that Richard Lupoff has died.
Wikipedia is trying to fix a mistake at the moment. After The Baron's second post I looked and found two Richard Lupoffs, both writers. Richard A. is the correct one, but someone carelessly merged the other one into Richard A.'s page. When you look for the other one it explains that they are in the process of repairing this. We are apparently getting early word (he died today) because no other internet listings so far note that he died.
Is the pale figure Lot's wife after becoming salty?
As far as interpreting the puzzle of the painting, that seems like a saline solution.
