I was struck by the reuse of the layout here. The Batman page is by Sheldon Moldoff and from Detective Comics #205 (1954); the Tomahawk one by Fred Ray and from Tomahawk #73 (1961). Both issues were edited by Jack Schiff.

Hmm. I am skeptical that this guy has read "every Marvel comic ever made." I read the article and remain unconvinced. I am prepared to admit that he has probably read more 21st century Marvel comics than I have, and he is welcome to them. He does make some cogent points. Read the article but don't take the title literally.

It wasn't in preparation for Crisis (at least not CoIE), but you're thinking of Geoff Johns. 

What a job! Getting paid to read every DC comic ever made!
