Maybe he can re-unite with his Daredevil director!
I saw him interviewed recently. He said that the bat-suit needed some ventilation, etc, and that it was going to be tough for him to give the right attention to directing when he was miserably hot. That could be the main reason.
I can believe that. Adam West didn't have that problem, but then, he played Batman back before somebody thought it was "unrealistic" for Batman to do what he does without body armor ...
Or 6-pack abs.
