  • I met him once at a convention. Got a chance to tell him how much I'd enjoyed his work. That's something, I guess.

  • Oh no.

This is already a bad year and we're only in March.

  • Wow, I'm such a fan. I've also met him, I think most recently at the 2011 HeroesCon. He created the con poster, and signed it personally for me. I'm looking at it right now...

  • :(

He was a true talent who remains unique. One of my favorite volumes of Creepy is the one that collects his work. This is a major loss to the comics community.

  • One of my favorite of his works is one of his most recent: Frankenstein Alive, Alive!

If you haven't read this one, doo yourself a favor and seek it out. It lasted only four issues, but it is one of the best horror comics... strike that... one of the best comics I have every read.

  • An immensely talented artist. I had read just a few weeks ago that he was retiring due to continuing health problems. His Seventies work on Swamp Thing and on various stories for Warren are some of the best horror comics ever produced.

  • CORRECTION: "It lasted only three issues."
