Captain Comics Bar and Grill

Okay, so imagine the website is a restaurant/tavern/bar/secret hide-out with bar service.

What's it look like? What does it serve? Do autographed photos of superheroes hang on the walls over booths? Is it an upscale roadhouse like Planet Krypton or a humble but dignified hole-in-the-wall? And how often do they reboot the menu?

  • I picture a sweet tavern with tons of beers on tap, a killer black and blue burger (probably named after Punisher, somehow), and we would all be able to get there instantly through a portal of some kind. Love this topic, and especially this idea!

  • Sounds like The Twenty Tap in Indy...well, without the portal...as far as I know...

    It's a safer, kinder Munden's Bar.

  • ...but with spinner racks.

  • It has got to have that old Avengers video game were Whirlwind yells at the heroes, "You'll be the one escaping!" Which never made a damn bit of sense, so me and my friends latched on to it, of course.

Also, I agree with Jeff, definitely spinner racks.

  • ... and pinball machines.

  • I see it underground in a spacious basement with a movie-room, library and display cases.

    And a pool table!

OK Guys, the next time I'm in Indy, I'm buyin'.

  • Some sample drinks and dishes:

Ale of Steel: with a deceptively simple and easy-going taste, this homebrew packs a strong punch. Drink long enough and you  may lose your underwear.

Dark Knight Lager: like Guiness, this one is dark and gritty.

Robin: This mocktail, high in grenadine, often comes as a side to the Bat-Lager

    .
Hulk Absinthe: HULK ABS IS THE STRONGEST DRINK THERE IS! HULK GETS YOU SMASHED!

Don't forget to try our Hulk Smash/Thing Duck combo, which comes with a glass of Hulk Abs and a brickload of our Duck a L'orange.

Nick Fury Rum: available in dark and light. Warning: drink too much, and you may end up half-blind.

Galactus Platter: When you're hungry enough to eat a planet!

Scrooge McDuck: a serving of rich duck, with little woodchucks on the side.

Avengers wood-oven pizza: topping vary daily!

Fifty Shades of Jean Grey Cocktail: not even we're sure what's in it at this point. Rebooted regularly.

Wonder Woman Wine: even if you start out in a skirt, you may end up losing your pants! Or gaining pants. Goes well with our Greek platter.

Spider-man Rogues Gallery: this mixed drink layers nicely, in green and purple.

Shazam! Shooters: these will hit you like a bolt of lightning, and may cause significant changes. You may think you're the captain, or you may just be merry.

Juggernaut on Tap: It's the Juggernaut batch!

The Whirlwind: You'll be the ones escaping! I have no idea what that means!

  • I like this topic.
Need plenty of craft beers on tap. Burgers, pizza, onion rings and cheese fries are a must. It needs some good food, so it can be on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.
Not just photos of super heroes but ones of creators like Stan Lee!
