Anyone remember a series of pocket-sized, B&W graphic adaptations of classic novels from the late 80s/early 90s? I think I briefly had the Frankenstein volume. I'm asking because I remember seeing an adaptation of the Australian novel For the Term of His Natural Life in about the same period, and I want to know if was from the same publisher.

  • I may have some of those. I'll check at home and report back.
  • They still show up in stores like Michaels...
  • I think Pendulum published them first in the 70s and then a publishing company, Academic Inc., took those comics and resized them for paperbacks in the 80s.
  • Just saw a boatload of these at the local thrift store but I can't recall if that one was included. I kept thinking about them and finally went back to get a couple but naturally they were gone.
  • Thanks, everyone. Are the current ones certainly the same series?
