I spotted the Kubert Barber Shop, and the reference to "Albano Gulch." Too bad there wasn't a shout-out to Tony de Zuniga or, especially, Michael L. Fleischer, who did the most to make Jonah Hex the man we know and love.
About "affecting the timestream," I'm going to take it like the Prime Directive on Star Trek -- a rule they'll do a certain amount of hand-wringing about breaking that they break all the time nonetheless.
A recent storm knocked out satellite out of kilter, so I missed last night’s episode.
I hope you can find it. I always record it because for some reason, the CW network is not part of the on-demand lineup for my cable company.
There were a lot of good character moments in that latest episode, particularly with Jax, Mick, and Kendra and Ray -- that is, if you like what's going on with Kendra and Ray. I do, but I can see why some wouldn't.
SEASON ONE FINALE: I fell asleep (not a comment of the episode’s quality) and missed almost the entire second half. I awoke just in time to learn the status quo had changed entirely, and to see the set-up for season two.
I may be slow on the uptake, but I realized just yesterday that the guy who plays the Atom also played Superman on the big screen. I liked his Superman (the character, not the movie, necessarily), but I’m not wild about his Atom.
I understand that Captain Cold is supposed to return to the Flash series.
We watched the last two episodes last night. Our DVR cut off the last half-minute of the finale. I had to look up an online review to find out that the surprise visitor at the end was Hourman and that he name-dropped the Justice Society.
Thanks for the ID! He did say he was from the JSA, but I didn't recognize him.
I don't expect to recognize any heroes from their costumes these days, since they usually are very different. I assume they knew what they were talking about. I just saw this unidentified character telling them not to get on their ship, and then it cut off.

My DVR did the same thing! Just saw it this morning (I raced through 5 episodes this week so I could (hopefully) see the finale without a spoiler (mission accomplished!) -- and then the mystery guy I was for prepares to introduce himself and the screen freezes. Like you, I found the scene online! I'd heard speculation that it would be Adam Strange, but I'm much happier with Hourman (and the promise of he JSA).
I heard something similar about Captain Cold -- that he signed a contract making him a guest star on multiple CW series. (I assume just the superhero shows, and not Crazy Ex-Girlfriend -- although that would be awesome.)

I would watch a lot more CW shows if I was guaranteed an occasional appearance by Leonard Snart.

Seriously. He's a Batman '66 villain on a CW show.
I'm on board for next season, although I don't feel like they made the most with what they had this season. It's a bad sign when the story leads to someone making a heroic sacrifice, and you watch hoping one, two, or three people on the team get killed.
Worse, the person who ultimately makes the sacrifice is the wrong one! Killing off Captain Cold -- the most interesting character of the bunch! -- is a huge mistake. I just hope they can fill that hole adequately. I guess I'll never see that episode where Snart leads a mutiny against Rip Hunter. Too bad. Especially as Rip was one of the three I was hoping would make that heroic sacrifice, but he weaseled out of it.
Also, that wasn't supposed be Sgt. Rock who got dispatched so quickly, was it? Yes, this soldier wore an Army helmet with master sergeant's stripes on it, and had a string of .30-06 rounds draped around his neck, but he seemed far too young to be the Rock we know and love. Plus, he got killed off less than five minutes on screen! What a waste!
SEASON TWO DISCUSSION BEGINS HERE.
I'd say season two is off to a good start. I do feel as if I've missed sometnhing, and reading my last post above I see it wasd the last half of the season one finale (which I never did go back and watch). So far, there's been more time travel in this one episode than there was in the entire previous season. Seems like it to me, anyway. In the cliffhanger, the "Legends" are confronted by the JSA, but I haven't positively identified them all.Stargirl is one (which seems odd), and is that... Obsidian?
