Here's the story in USA Today:

I've been hanging onto the DC train for years waiting for a clear opportunity to jump off, and here it is. Anything they publish from that point on, I'll read the reviews and, if it seems like something I'll like, I'll buy in trade paperback. I've been waiting for the classic Justice League lineup to return, and that's happening, so I'll get that. My son has been a Green Lantern fan all his life, so I'll continue to get those titles for him. Unless Manhunter from Mars or Adam Strange get their own series, we'll just have to wait and see what else they do.

Did she say ... "Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang on WONDER WOMAN?"

Wow ... color me intrigued ...

Our sister site, CBGXtra.com, has compiled what information there is about the reboot, and will keep adding to it. Their efforts can be found here:

15 titles announced in DC relaunch

DC explains digital plans; retailers react

If DC really wanted to shake things up, they would retire all their characters from the Golden, Silver and Bronze ages, and create all-new characters. We know why that won't happen: movie deals, TV deals, videogame deals, T-shirt deals, etc.

I'm sure this will be another cosmetic reboot (redesigned costumes! titles relaunched with No. 1 issues!) that will not affect the status quo in any major way.

At this point, there's nothing DC or Marvel could do with their worn-out universes that would surprise or excite me. Not unless DC revives "G.I. Combat," "Girls' Romances" and "All-Star Western," and Marvel revives "Capt. Savage," "Not Brand Echh" and "Millie the Model." THAT would make my jaw drop.

And while they're at it, DC could bring back the go-go checks, and Marvel could change its name to "Marvel Pop Art Productions." That would get my attention.

How about "G.I. GIrls' Romances" or "Capt. Millie and the Leatherneck Models"?

"How about "G.I. GIrls' Romances" or "Capt. Millie and the Leatherneck Models"?"

Didn't the National Lampoon do those in the '70s?

I know NatLamp did a very funny Deadman, with Neal Adams ...

They did a funny Nick Fury parody, but the title is too raunchy to repeat here ...
... as is the rest of it ... !
I was going to merge Giant-Size Man-Thing and Marvel Triple Action, but thought better of it.
While we're thinking dirty, don't leave out "Jungle Action" or "Marvel Two-In-One."

"I was going to merge Giant-Size Man-Thing and Marvel Triple Action, but thought better of it."

Marvel triple action ... isn't that what happened off-panel in those late-'60s Spider-Mans, when Peter was shown with Gwen on one arm and Mary Jane on the other?

Things must have been swingin' in the old bachelor pad!
