Doctor Who and Torchwood fans...

Next Sunday night, on Masterpiece Contemporary on PBS, David Tennant will host the showing of Lennon Naked starring Christopher Eccleston as John Lennon and Naoko Mori (Torchwood) as Yoko. Should be good!

  • Thanks for the heads up! I, for one, will definitely be tuning in.
  • I recorded Lennon Naked on Sunday and watched it last night. (Tonight I'll be watching LENNONYC recorded last night.) I found it to be entertaing if somewhat fictionalized, with excellent and convincing perfomances by Eccleston and Mori.

October was the Hammer horror films and November was this. You're two for two, Doc. what are you going to recommend for me to watch in December?
  • The Doctor Who Christmas special on Christmas. ;)
  • I'm sure AMC will show The Walking Dead through December. Human Target is back on Fox on Wednesdays and is a lot of fun.

If you like Sondheim at all, there will be a fantastic tribute to him on PBS tonight.
  • Oh...and there's this!

    Masterpiece Contemporary

    Framed

    Sunday, Dec. 26 › 9pm

A reserved curator (Trevor Eve) from London's National Gallery is made responsible for the safe and secret storage of priceless paintings in rural Wales. Soon he finds it difficult to keep his low profile, as well as his secret, from the local villagers. Also starring Eve Myles (Torchwood).

Is that the BBC Prom from earlier this year? If so, ti is truly brilliant, by the man who did the MGM Musicals prom in 2009. Here's a little excerpt...

This one is in NYC...so, no. :)

Pity - I hear that was a fantastic concert as well, but the BBC one was equally good.
