This was written by Rona Munro, who wrote "Survival", the last story of the old series. I know they've used a director from the old series - Graeme Harper - and several actors, but I'm reasonably certain that this is the first writer.

The story itself was pretty good, atmospheric and creepy. I'm a sucker for stories where enemies have to come together to fight a greater threat.

I liked the "Death by Scotland" line.

Nardole's explanation of the Mary Celeste contradicts "The Chase".

  • This is easily my least favorite story this season. It seems to me to be too anacronistic, with 21st century attitudes grafted on to 2nd century soldiers. I liked "World Enough and Time" much more, though.
