A continuance of the previous story, prompting the same complaint as that one, i.e., people who were capable of this kind of stuff wouldn't need to do it. Plus this whole business of seeking "consent" is nonsensical, as though the three commanders on the ground would surrender the Earth based on being shown what for all they know is a bit of video trickery, not to mention the idea that any one individual "consenting" is going to somehow gain them authority over the Earth.
Also, if these aliens can game out the future, surely they would game out "the Doctor winning" as the only possible outcome.
Overall: More contrived Moffatian nonsense. I'm not unhappy that he's moving along.
