One of the local DJs featured this game yesterday on her "ways to waste time at work" segment, and it's simultaneously awesome and maddening, so I thought I'd share:

Funny Farm

Basically, it's a word association / mind map game -- you start with the phrase "on the farm" and need to brainstorm words that you associate with that, and if they're one of the options on the map, it shows them. Then, once you get those words, you brainstorm words you associate with them, and so on, expanding the map.

There is an endgame to the puzzle, but I'm nowhere near reaching it — it has to do with reaching the four corners of the map, which I'm having a hard time getting to. (Surprisingly, one of the sections that's giving me the most trouble? "comic books")

If you're looking for a way to kill time, this is a mind-building way to do it!

I've declared Google to be one of my friends, and as such, I have filled in a number of blanks:

I still have no idea what the solution to the meta-puzzle is though.

Check out the Secret Headquarters (my store) website! It's a pretty lame website, but I did it myself, so tough noogies

Listen to WOXY.com, it's the future of rock-n-roll!

Nothing meager about that, Rob. I think you've gotten further than I got on my own.

Well, there were a few things I definitely wouldn't have gotten without glimpses of a more complete board during my unintentional venture into collaboland: The Statue of Liberty, for one, and a few others beyond that.

(7,6) up from "Fictional Detectives" - "Hercule Poirot"?

(3) down from "Dr. Watson" - DNA"?
I opened up another square (well, two, but one I have no idea about yet).

(5) down from "Japan" - "manga"?

There sure is. I haven't quite sussed it out yet.

(Rob, look away! :P )

X-Files + religious cult = Red Museum, a second-season X-Files episode about a religious cult (the title is the cult's name).

How that combines with the other two, though, I haven't figured.
Made some headway on my poker stars section -- and opened up a new (unknonw to me) section:
