  • I'm sorry that this is the last season, but I'm glad there IS a last season, so they can tie up all the plot threads. I've thoroughly enjoyed this series, and I'm looking forward to seeing what weirdness they serve up next.

  • I had pretty much forgotten where this show had left off, but the opening scenes reminded me soon enough. this season is "No Man's Land" (an arc in the comics that caused me to drop the Bat-titles for the duration). It begins with a scene from over a year since the end of last season, then goes back to 87 days days into it. The rest of the season, presumably, will show how they got to the point in the opening scene.

  • I'm tempted to say this will be the first live-action TV Batman since Adam West. We've had a host of animated Batmen, but I can't think of a live-action Batman. Can anyone else?

A few years after Batman '66 went off the air, there was a public service announcement touting equal pay for women featuring Yvonne Craig as Batgirl, hesitating to get Batman and Robin out of a death trap. Burt Ward played Robin, but it was Dick Gautier as Batman, not Adam West, as noted over here, in the thread "RIP Dick Gautier."

A few decades later, in the wake of the big-screen Batman movies, an actor named Bruce Thomas appeared as Batman in TV commercials for OnStar.

And there was somebody who played Batman in flashbacks in the TV series Birds of Prey, but his name has never been made public

  • I just became aware of the February 2020 planned release of a Birds of Prey theatrical release involving Harley Quinn, the usual Birds group, Cassandra Cain, Black Mask and Victor Zsasz.

  • We stopped discussing this show, but it's been pretty good. Last night (among other things) they introduced Scarface and Killer Croc. I'm curious to see how they wrap this series up, especially if we see the kid in the suit.

  • It's kind of fun the way they're tossing in new baddies just cuz. I wish they weren't offing them quite so fast, though.
  • The penultimate episode of Gotham airs today, Thursday, April 18.

  • Thanks, Richard!
