I am preparing to watch the Travolta%Newton-John movie of " Grease " full 

-through for the first time ever. I just never got around to watching it all before. I saw the original Broadway production as a teenager in the 70s, finally enough, but I don't remember much about it. Perhaps this belongs in the " Sound of Music " thread, but I couldn't resist the headline! So I put aside thread conservation for once...

  • It's considered a classic. I think it's a mediocre film that ruins the more ironic and intriguing source musical, since that musical has been revised to resemble the successful film. The original creators of the musical were thrown off the set for complaining about the changes, though they took the money. I didn't think much of it when my friends we're saying it was the greatest movie ever. Don't think much of it now. You may disagree.
