Even though I have my problems with DC, their "We Can Be Heroes" campaign to raise relief funds and awareness of the problems in the Horn of Africa is commendable.  But, a NY Times article today showed me how fans of Harry Potter and The Hunger Games are mobilizing fandom to make positive changes.
