Actually, judging by Magik's sword's placement in the plane in front of the logo, and Black Widow's leg being behind the logo, I'd say the sword would likely hit Natasha in the armpit.
I've no idea who's on the cover of Legacy. To be honest, I hadn't even realized Illyana was back.
That's Frenzy. Also known as Joanna Cargill. She's a former Acolyte and now one of the newer members of the X-Men.

Maybe I'm confused, but...isn't this just Avenger vs. Avenger? What does this have to do with "vs. X-Men"?
I'm guessing "Protector" is acting on a Kree imperative of some sort which aligns him with the Phoenix, and therefore the X-Men. Let's hope one result of this series is that he gets a better name/persona. "Captain Marvel," perhaps?
