Also in the realm of jungle movies, Wikipedia list 16 Jungle Jim movies.

If Jungle Jim counts, then howzabout Bomba the Jungle Boy (12 films)? (Props to Johnny Sheffield!)

Probably saw some of these on Saturday mornings, but I can't remember anything specific.

43. Tarzan the Ape Man (1981) boring with Bo Derek.

What about Disney's Tarzan?

There was also an aminated series that used more elements from the books.

What is Disney's Tarzan, Philip? If it's a movie, it qualifies. If it's a TV show, or a series of episodes on the Disney anthology show, then not.

And we're not including animation ... yet.

The first Tarzan movie I ever saw might have been Tarzan's Three Challenges. I have a memory of Tarzan holding handles tied to two elephants pulling in opposite directions. A quick Wikipedia search reveals I may have misremembered some of the details, but I'm pretty sure this is it.

Disney's Tarzan is an animated feature. Its soundtrack is by Phil Collins, of all people. If you can get past that, the story is more faithful to ERB than most.

I saw several when I was a kid. Greystoke, obviously, I saw much later. They don't really interest me at all now. I think my count looks like:

Tarzan the Ape Man (1932)

Tarzan and His Mate (1934)

Tarzan Finds a Son! (1939)

Tarzan's Secret Treasure (1941)

Tarzan's New York Adventure (1942)

Tarzan Triumphs (1943)

Tarzan's Hidden Jungle (1955)

Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes (1984)
