Today's issue of New Super-Man, in addition to featuring exciting adventures with the Super-Man, Bat-Man and Wonder-Woman of China, ends with the return of a character first seen about eighty years ago on the cover of Detective Comics #1 (March 1937) I refer, of course, to that insidious Oriental mastermind...Ching Lung, who claims to be the reason that super-heroes exist at all!
Ah, Mister Yang, I eagerly await finding out what happens next with this book, I am greatly enjoying it!

Ching Lung lies. Dr. Occult was already around by then.
I think he may be going with the idea that that was the first "DC" comic, even if it wasn't the first by that publisher.

He did become one for three issues in the early days, cape and everything. Siegel and Shuster might have given him more powers if Superman hadn't sold.
Interesting they'd drag Ching Lung out of limbo after all these decades, but he'll probably end up back there when this storyline is over. Like the real JSA turning up as sick old men having trouble doing things like walking in Convergence and Dr. Fate saying flat out this was absolutely their last adventure.
