Hey all,
It occurs to me that, since the New York Film Festival is largely online this year -- aside from some outdoor screenings in Brooklyn & Queens -- that some of us might want to attend it "together." There are a number of different film packages available for purchase (I'm thinking of going with the "NYFF58 Discoveries" package of 7 films), but tickets for individual films are available too. (For instance, I'll probably also spring for a ticket to the new Christian Petzold film, Undine.)
Anyone else thinking of going? It'd be good to share recommendations here. (Or, if I'm the only one, I'll probably just post on the "What Movies Have You Seen Lately?" thread.)
The festival starts Thursday, Sept 17, and runs through Oct. 11.

The best laid plans...
So the ticket bundles I was considering are sold out, so I'm buying tickets to individual movies. The ones I've selected so far are:
Four very different documentaries:
There Are Not Thirty-Six Ways of Showing a Man Getting on a Horse, preceded by Stump the Guesser
The Monopoly of Violence
The Truffle Hunters
Meeting the Man: James Baldwin in Paris
And two fiction films (so far):
Night of the Kings
Undine
I'll probably buy one or two more tickets if I hear good things.
