I was watching the Savage/Warrior "retirement" match on disk last night, and it came to the ending where Elizabeth threw Sherri out of the ring, and the thought came to me, "Both of these women are dead now, it's depressing."

It's being reported that New Day members Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, as well as MFT members Tonga Loa and JC Mateo, have "parted ways" with the WWE. I'm not quite sure whether they were officially "released", or if their contracts were simply allowed to expire.
Interesting. They weren't doing much with the New Day, so that's not a huge surprise. Loa and Mateo are a bit of s surprise, since the MFTs were being used in a prominent storyline. Mateo had only been with the company for about a year. If I recall correctly, this just leaves the MFTs as Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga.
He was what they call an "enhancement talent" these days but used to call a "jobber". Those were the guys who used to go on TV every week and lose to the big stars to make them look good. I saw him wrestle live once at the old Boston Garden. He got one of his rare wins that night, over the late "Leaping" Lanny Poffo. Pete was quite the memorable character.
RIP "Superstar" Bill Dundee. I never saw him wrestle - I grew up in the Northeast and I don't know that he ever wrestled for the McMahons - but I know that he was a legend in the old Memphis territory, especially for his feud with Jerry "The King" Lawler.
Jake "Jack Swagger" Hager suffered a horrendous eye injury at a Power Slap event. I'm not providing a link 'cause it's a little gruesome. Power Slap is now the new "Stupidest 'Sport' That I Ever Heard Of'."
RIP Benjamin Satterley Satterley, known as "PAC" in AEW and "Neville" in WWE was forty years old. Cause of death is unknown. I'm not an AEW mark, but I know that he wrestled at one of their events a little over 24 hours ago, and in the clips I've seen of the match, he didn't seem to be in any particular distrees. Very sad, a young guy like that going.
"The Man Gravity Forgot" was another misused talent because he wasn't over six feet tall!

Update They're saying that he was found passed out in a vehicle in a restaurant parking lot in Des Plaines, Illinois, and that there was no sign of foul play or trauma, and that it's not considered a "suspicious" death. I don't know what that coulld leave - maybe an undetected medical condition.

This is true.
"Mean" Mark Callous vs. "Superstar" Bill Dundee
It's interesting to see Calaway in his pre-Undertaker days. "Downtown Bruno" would be known as "Harvey Wippleman" to WWE fans.
