It's supposed to start after midnight here...maybe a couple of inches. Huzzah! It's cocoa and Sky Captain night at the Beechler-Simpson home!

I'd be perfectly content if I never saw any damned snow again for the rest of my life.
What he said.

I haven't seen any in the past nine years and I'm perfectly content.

There have been many, many days where I wished I could say that.

So...

Due to the latest Snow-narok this weekend, this week, the week that "Tuesday Delivery for Wednesday On-Sale" was to have started, I'll be able to consider myself lucky if I even get any comics on Wednesday. It may actually be Thursday, or Great Maker* preserve us, Friday, before we see them.

It's no fair having my income messed with by snow and not being able to build a snowman with my daughter. :(

* I'm halfway through Season 4 of Babylon 5 on DVD right now.

I used to listen to WOXY.com; It was the future of rock-n-roll! RIP WOXY

My wife and I are home today with our second snow day.
I'm off to work tonight and half-expect to sleep there!

A few flakes here a couple of hours ago, then nothin'.  The snow is supposed to start in earnest here after 5 pm, and peter out overnight.  No more than 1-3 inches.

Still, the folks around here treat a couple of inches like it was a blizzard, so I'm preparing for serious interruptions to public transportation.

We got 4 inches or so, and it's stayed around freezing, so things have ground to a complete halt.  This is the 2nd day the schools are closed, and my wife stayed home from work today.  Being part-time she doesn't get paid, but will go in tomorrow to make up for it.  I'm expecting things to be open then, with substantial melting through the day.  Still feels odd to be unaffected by it otherwise.  These last two days would have been "snow days" for me if I were working.
We're supposed to get 8-12 inches overnight, just in time to mess up my commute.

I'll work from home tomorrow.

Expected 10-18 inches, depending on which station you listen to.

Looks like we're getting 5-9 inches. Not too bad, compared to the last storm.
We got hit with some decent snowfall here Sunday, but the roads were decent enough for me to go to work Monday morning by 9AM. The 19 degree weather this morning was much worse.
The snow started around 8 PM and is getting stronger. It took me an hour and a half to get home, taking different buses. My new snow philosophy is take the first one that can get me home any way possible! Still dreading tomorrow's commute!
