"Spider-Man, Spider-Man, goes on the dole like a spider can..."
  • So he's "official photographer of the mayor by day." So what? He's been freelance for years... decades real time. I can't see this having too much of an impact. Jimmy Olsen, maybe, but DC already went that route back in the '80s. This plot development gets a big "Ehh..." from me.
  • CNN.com says:
It was at a science exhibit he attended as a teenager that he was bitten by a radioactive spider and acquired the creature's strength, agility and weaving ability, says Marvel Comics.

    ....."weaving ability"?

Listen to WOXY.com, it's the future of rock-n-roll!

What he said. It would be bigger news -- and probably more true-to-life -- if Clark Kent got fired.
  • Clark is fired...just goes to the closest coal mine and creates his own retirement account. The Fed should be talking to Superman...in the 40s, I think, a President Superman story had him fill the reserve bank with tons of lost treasure from the bottom of the sea.
  • I can't see this being too lasting or impactful.

As I recall, he did lose his job for a while a few years ago. I saw a story in the entertainment section of a paper about how the new writer was trying to pep up the series.
