Coincidentally, I had just recorded KISS KISS BANG BANG on my DVR. After your comment we watched it. It's terrific irreverent fun.

Jason Marconnet (Pint sized mod) said:

This one had a new director, Shane Black. Black has a background in action buddy comedies such as Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (check this one if you haven't seen it) . He also wrote the screenplay for the first Lethal Weapon and the Last Boy Scout. This movie at times felt like one of those which I liked.

I just noticed the T-shirt RDJr is wearing in the last video, Whackos Assemble!

In one of the interviews I posted here or on my YouTube channel, RDJ was wearing a "West Coast Avengers" T-shirt!

Finally saw this.

It was...okay. Unlike the previous two, however, there were no stand out moments for me. Nothing that made me go "wow". Nothing that made me ROFLMAO.

I've come to accept this, but one of the things I really, really dislike is super heroes killing. Yes, I understand it's a fanciful idea, yes, I know that I'm out of date, but consarn it, I'd love to see a superhero movie with less of a body count, particularly at the hands of the hero. It's not interesting to me to see someone with the power of Iron Man kill ordinary humans, or even the Extremis enhanced ones. If they were that powerful, it would be a different movie.

As far as Gwyneth Paltrow goes, the only problem I've ever had with her as Pepper Potts is that she's too old for the part and we've never really gotten a hint of the dynamic between her, Happy and Tony. Actually, one of the things I did like was seeing Happy being Happy in the movie, as Favreau does a really good job withe the character.

Agreed with Happy, disagreed with Pepper. Of course, my notion of Pepper Potts originally came from the films, so I have no idea as to their comics dynamic.

I loved this movie. I need to watch it again so I can share my favorite part from the "grown-up perspective". I know there was stuff in there I really liked on a more intellectual level; it's just that I was perhaps a little inebriated when I first saw this movie.

My inner 11-year-old's favorite part was toward the end when all of the individualized Iron Man suits came together. The "break-apart-reassemble" Iron Man was really cool, as was the huge linebacker Iron Man who helped keep the construct from collapsing.
