The Art of Betty & Veronica

large-4864043.jpg?1782521447

This showed up at my LCS this week. I didn't pre-order it and I don't even remember seeing it solicited. It was in shrink-wrap so I couldn't look at it, but it is compiled by Craig Yoe, which is a huge plus. Looking online, I see it was originally released in 2012. Does anyone here have it? What can you tell me about it? Is it worth owning?

  • I think I have it. I'm out and about, but I'll check when I get home.

  • Specifically, what is the art-to-text ratio, and are there any stories?

  • I finally remembered to check this. It's mostly art -- covers, pin-ups, stories. There's a couple of pages of text at the beginning and that's about it. It's mostly Dan DeCarlo (he did draw B&V for years), but also some Harry Lucey, Irv Novick, maybe others. There's a few pages of Dan Parent in the back as a nod to the post-DeCarlo world. It's page after page of art, with who drew it in tiny letters at the bottom.

    • Thanks. Last week was a heavy week and next one promises to be heavy as well, but the next time I have a light week I will definitely consider it.
