  • Michael Young is given the identity of "Michael Knight" and begins fighting crime using the KITT car.
  • Ted Striker helps save the space shuttle Mayflower from crashing.
  • Astronaut Vance "Astro" Astrovik is sent on an experimental voyage to Centauri IV
  • An older, embittered Gumby has a series of emotional breakdowns and leaves show business.
  • Programmer Kevin Flynn is drawn into a computer world where he and the heroic TRON defeat the evil Master Control Program.
  • Bo and Luke Duke join the NASCAR circuit. Their cousins Coy and Vance Duke come to Hazzard County to help Uncle Jesse and Daisy Duke in their absence.
  • Jeffrey Jones meets Phineas Bogg and learns of the Voyagers, a group set up by the Time Lord Celestial Intervention Agency to maintain the integrity of Earth history.

  • When Bo and Luke Duke return from NASCAR, Coy and Vance Duke take off on an around-the-world race from which they never return, electing to settle down elsewhere.
  • The Spindrift vanishes while flying to London.
  • Aasu Shii is born.
  • In New Mexico, a young boy called Owen meets the child vampire Abby.
  • The Eleventh Doctor and Clara Oswald battle an Ice Warrior aboard a Soviet submarine.
  • Karen and Andrew Vinson's daughter Karen Vinson the Younger is born.

  • By this time, Minilla is known as Godzilla II. A Hydra agent infiltrates Monsterland and sends Godzilla II on a rampage. It attacks Tokyo, but the JSDF manages to seal it into a volcano.
  • Jason Voorhees is killed by Tommy Jarvis.
  • Freddy Krueger begins killing the teenagers of Elm Street through their dreams.
  • The Ghostbusters battle Gozer.
  • The first of Skynet’s agents, a T-800 Terminator, arrives in Los Angeles, where it attempts to kill Sarah Connor, mother of John. It is destroyed by Kyle Reese, the first of John Connor’s agents. Reese is himself killed, but not before becoming the father of John Connor.
  • The Fifth Doctor and Tegan Jovanka and Vislor Turlough battle the Malus.  Later, they  battle time-traveling Dalek infiltrators.
  • The Fifth Doctor and his companions Vislor Turlough and Peri Brown battle the Master on Earth and on Sarn.
  • Charles Arcola Junior, is placed in charge of the Powell household. (107)
  • Miyagi Kesuke begins teaching karate to Daniel LaRusso.
  • When his friend Mikey Tandino is murdered, Detroit police detective Axel Foley pursues the killer to Beverly Hills.
  • Samantha Baker develops magical powers, becoming a teenage witch. At about the same time, a local boy called "Farmer Ted" disappears without a trace. Shortly thereafter, Samantha acquires a pet turtle she calls "Farmer Ted". (108)

  • Son Goku battles the Red Ribbon Army. During this battle, he meets Norimaki  Senbei and his "sister" Arale.
  • Doctor Emmett Brown builds a time machine into a De Lorean automobile, which his young friend Marty McFly uses to travel into the past. Having returned to the present, Marty uses the De Lorean to travel into the future. Doc Brown then uses the De Lorean to travel to 1885, where he is trapped. Marty goes back to rescue him, but fails. However, Doc manages to build another time machine and returns to 1985.
  • A paramedic becomes a Jason Voorhees copycat killer, before being killed by Tommy Jarvis.
  • Rocky Balboa fights Ivan Drago.
  • The Sixth Doctor and Peri Brown battle the Cybermen on Earth.
  • The Second and Sixth Doctors and Jamie MacCrimmon and Peri Brown battle Androgums and Sontarans in Seville.
  • Mario Video first travels to the Mushroom Kingdom. He meets Princess Peach and battles the evil Bowser.
  • Government researchers in Florida attempt to discover the secrets of the living dead. The experiment fails catastrophically. Chemical residue from the experiment is accidentally shipped to a medical supply warehouse in Louisville, KY. Workers at the warehouse accidentally breach the chemical containers, sparking a fresh outbreak of the living dead, this time stopped by Infinity, Inc.
  • Autobots and Decepticons revive on Earth and renew their ancient conflict.
  • Ted Lawson constructs a robot in the form of a small girl, that he named "Vickie". With his family's help, he passes her offf as his daughter.
  • The Excitebike motorcycle races are first held.
  • Fukamachi Sho bonds with a guyver unit, becoming Guyver One. Finding himself pursued by the Chronos Corporation, he seeks assistance from Japan's super-heroes, who in turn alert heroes around the world. A worldwide series of battles against Chronos begins.
  • High schoolers Andrew Clarke, Brian Ralph Johnson, John Bender, Claire Standish and Allison Reynolds spend Saturday morning detention together.

Mondas is destroyed, but the Doctor persuades some surviving Cybermen to live peacefully on Earth. The First Doctor then encounters the Twelfth Doctor. Captain Archibald Lethbridge-Stewart and the Testimony.  Both Doctors subsequently regenerate.
  • Members of the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise visit San Francisco in search of a humpback whale.
  • Melmacian Gordon Shumway crashlands on Earth. Green Lantern Jose Hernandes helps repair his ship and sends him on his way.
  • Tommy Jarvis accidentally revives Jason Voorhees.
  • “Itchy Koo” Ichinohei and Princess Asrial of Salusia arrive in Quagmire, USA, and end up as rivals for the attentions of Jeremy Feeple.
  • A cat named Chatran and a dog named Poosky have several adventures together.
  • When Nova Laboratories constructs robots for the military, one accidentally becomes sentient, naming itself "Johnny Five".
  • Miyagi Kesuke and Daniel LaRusso travel to Okinawa.
  • While attempting to duplicate Andre Delambre's experiments, Seth Brundle has a similar accident.
  • An unknown Japanese man invents the sport of Balloon Fighting. 
  • Dennis Mitchell is elected to the U.S. Congress.
  • Jonny Quest and Hadji have a last series of adventures with Doctor Quest and Race Bannon before the latter two retire.
  • The angel Pit helps the goddess Palutena stop the evil Medusa from taking over Angel Land.
  • Aasu Mitsuki is born.

  • Axel Foley returns to Beverly Hills to investigate the shooting of Captain Andrew Bogomil.
  • Michael and Hope Steadman, his cousin Melissa Steadman, and their friends Elliot and Nancy Weston, Ellyn Warren and Gary Shepherd go on a hiking trip in a state park in western Pennsylvania. While exploring a hidden cave they found, the seven friends are sealed in. A mysterious gas fills the cave, placing them in suspended animation.
  • Policewomen Tsujimoto Natsumi and Kobayakawa Miyuki are stationed at the Bokuto Precinct in the Sumida Ward in Tokyo.

  • There is a fresh outbreak of the living dead in Louisville, this time handled by civilian efforts.
  • Earth is briefly invaded by Killer Klowns from Outer Space.
  • The Deetze family encounters the malign ghost Betelgeuse.
  • Checkmate is founded.
  • Christmas "Chrissie" Claus is born.
  • The caveman Kir-rok is thawed and revived and becomes a lawyer.
  • Morisato Keiichi first meets the goddess Belldandy.
  • Kamen Rider Black becomes Kamen Rider Black RX.
  • Princess Di Gi Charat (a.k.a. "Dejiko"), Rinna Charat, and meeK Charat are born on the planet Di Gi Charat. Pyocora Analog III (a.k.a. "Piyoko") is born on the planet Analog. Usada Hikaru (a.k.a. "Rabi-en-Rose") is born in Japan.

  • John Kreese seeks revenge on Miyagi Kesuke and Daniel LaRusso.
  • While attempting to recreate the Newman/Phillips time tunnel, Doctor Samuel Beckett is accidentally thrown into his own quantum accelerator and finds himself "leaping" through time from one person's life to another.
  • Yu Ominae goes to work for the ARCAM Corporation.

  • Rocky Balboa trains a young fighter named Tommy Gunn.
  • John Hammond opens Jurassic Park. Certain initial security problems are solved with the help of Green Lantern Jose Hernandes and the park begins regular operation.
  • There is another outbreak of the living dead near Pittsburgh, this time dealt with by the Avengers. 
  • Soramame Taro becomes a policeman.
  • While visiting England, Randi Wallace becomes a werewolf.
  • When bank executive Sam Wheat is murdered, Deadman helps him remain on Earth as a ghost and use psychic Oda Mae Brown to warn his girlfriend Molly Jensen against the friend that betrayed him.
  • Izumi Shinichi encounters the alien Parasyte he names "Migi".
