Two new, ongoing series are coming...one continuing Archie's life with Veronica and the other with Betty.  Next up...Archie's life as a groupie of the Pussycats and living a wacky bro-life with Jughead.

  • That's a nice cover on the Veronica one.
  • I'd buy them. I'll admit it: I bought Archie specifically for this "what if?" tale of his married life with Betty and with Veronica, with every intention of dropping the book and forgetting about it ever after.

I'd rather a mini series than an ongoing -- and I wonder which of the two titles will prove to be more popular over the long haul -- but count me in.
  • I did like the covers, especially the Veronica one. It does a good job of conveying the emotions of both characters. Not sure whether I'll buy them, though.
  • Earth-B vs. Earth-V: Crisis of Infinite Archies
  • Be funny if one hugely outsold the other.
  • I wonder what "a more 'literary' approach" means?

(I suddenly picture these books being very Strangers in Paradise-esque...)

It'd be even funnier if the one where Archie is married to Veronica was also titled "Archie Loves Betty." I mean, c'mon, just look at those two covers and tell me which one has Happy Archie in it!
  • I think the amount of older reader attention (and sales in the direct market) that the storyline gained made Archie Comics say...wow, why haven't we tried for the the older reader before now? If adults will buy comics about Peter Parker or Rogue's romantic tangles, maybe they will buy comics about the Riverdale gang if the stories aren't all about proms, hamburgers, and algebra tests.
  • So bizarre this series popularity continues regardless of time or era.

    Ouch!
