Okay, this is what I get for not paying attention to comic book news.

I went to load up about a month's worth of Marvel comics onto my iPad last night, because that's how I prefer to read them. When I went to upload them, it turned out I didn't get the comic I had bought, I got two or three old comics that I didn't buy.

I looked to see if anyone else had this problem, and it turned out that this is the new Marvel way. They charge the same amount, but you don't get the comic you wanted in the first place. I mean, technically I have the physical copy, but part of the reason I bought those comics is that I enjoyed reading them on my iPad while on the treadmill.

This will probably decrease the chances of me buying a lot of Marvel books. I'm not just being over-dramatic; that is seriously much of the appeal for me.

I'm not so much outraged as I am apathetic about it. I guess that will probably mean less Marvel for me, but luckily most of the good stuff I'm reading now is coming out of Image, Dark Horse, and to an extent, DC.
