WAIT. This is one of the best new shows from 2017, if not THE best. So much more than a Seth McFarland comedy. It's much closer to Star Trek than Family Guy.
In the absence of Star Trek [and Star Trekis absent AFAIC, until Discovery is made available on DVD or some other format to which I have access (pun intended)], The Orville is a welcome substitute. It's not only a spot-on spoof of ST:TNG, most episodes are better than the source.
A welcome return! The show that is more "Star Trek" than Star Trek! We watched the first episode last night. (Now it moves to its regular slot on Thursdays.) To me it's like a continuation of Star Trek: The Next Generation in which all the dialogue is provided by MST3K.

Wandering Sensei Johnson is right!

I really like this show. And my wife, who hasn't been interested in any Star Trek series except the original, is also a fan.
This show is brilliant. Can't wait until the new season begins.

It didn't skip a beat, did it? Great episode!
Isaac continues to be my favorite character on the show.
