I was looking through some old comics when I thought of a new game. I call it Three of a Kind. Here's my first entry.

I would've bought those Scribbly Archives in a heartbeat! That was by far the GA series I most wanted collected but figured it was a pipe dream, and it was.
I tracked those down online, and they apparently were created by a Ma Hunkel fan who not only produced the covers but uploaded all the stories that would be in each Archive! That's totally illegal of course but geez, they would've made great books to own.

BTW, Hoy, you got me on these three. I need a hint.

I got it after I saw the third one.

Yep, I realized what it was too after another look. Wasn't expecting Subby to be dressed like that. But Hoy's comment should have been enough.

Another Ma Hunkel cover.  There aren’t many.

Here's another where she's kinda on the cover.

Here's another fake one.

I couldn't find a third, so here's a cover with her son.

As members of the Old Guys Who Like Old Comics page on Facebook know, I've been reading a lot of Archie comics lately, and I've been reading the Golden Age Sub-Mariner Omnibus Vol. 2. When I saw the Namor "S" sweater it came together.

Happy New Year!

Another set of superheroes in red flannel union suits

And I did stumble across this sequence

This was posted yesterday over on the "A Cover a Day" thread:

A nice cover with the Cheshire Cat

If I add the following two covers, we have "Three of a Kind".

Another "Three of a Kind" inspired by a post on the "A Cover a Day" thread.

Talk about "fire hair"...
