Two apocolypses ,Shangri-La, bonuses.

In the last 24 hours, I have sen, on TCM, two 60s era movies dealing with a post- apocolyptice world with both taking an essentially 100-percent non genre-bases approach (sort of) to telling about the day after " it " happens, and one dealing with an out-of-tim's never-never land - This last film being a remake of a story which had a far better remembered Golden Age Of Hollywood version made previously. I also, slightly before that, saw a 1960s remake of a novel by the fantasy' s author which also is better remembered better from a GA Hollywood version. I will discuss, with spoilers, below. I saw them on TC, in this hospital, where I have been the last two weeksish. Yesterday was my birthday.

    The films are:

      PANIC IN YEAR ZERO (1962)

      NO BLADE OF GRASS (1970)

      LOST HORIZON (1973)

I can't seem to correct my misspelling of " as

pocalypse " in the original post as is now above.

  • I don't think I've seen any of these, so can't comment.

Sorry to hear you're back in the hospital.
