I bought this one on a whim, but probably would have given it a pass if it had been the first issue of a new ongoing series. A quick flip-through told me two things: that Bryan Glass’s story was respectful of continuity and that the art and coloring by Phil Winslade and Veronica Gandini were beautiful. This story fills the gap between JMS’s Ragnarok and Val’s membership in the Secret Avengers. The only thing that threw me a bit was the appearance of Janet van Dyne. No biggie (in terms of my enjoyment of the issue), but isn’t she still dead?
