ASHOKA: Started watching this Star Wars series last night. We're just finished watching episode two. It takes place after the fall of the Empire. Ashoka is Darth Vader's former Padawan (or I suppose I should say "Anakin Skywalker's").
BEWITCHED S4: Tracy was ready to drop this show as soon as Tabitha was born, thinking that it would become too "baby-oriented." When that didn't happen, she was content to continue, but I was kind of tired of it. I used to watch Bewitched as a kid, but I wasn't as "into" it as I was some others. I couldn't cite a specific plot, for example. But there is one specific exchange of dialogue I recall. I haven't gotten to it yet. I've been waiting all my life to use it, but I have not yet got the chance. It's a scene between Larry tate and Samantha. I remember the set-up and the pay-off, but I'll have to wait until it rolls around so I can quuote it verbatim. Stay tuned...
"The Ultimate Computer": MeTV aired this S2 episode of TOS on Saturday night. It takes on new meaning in this age of A.I. and self-driving cars. It is also a good one to watch with the enhanced special effects.
TWD: DEAD CITY, S3 E5: The best episode of the season so far. [Spoilers] Renata never did trust Negan and, in the last scene, events are presented in such as way that she thinks she's right. Granted, Negan didn't have to kill Fabian (and it was Renata's bad decisions that put him in a position in which he had to), but he was acting in the best interest of the community.
I saw the second Mission: Impossible episode and enjoyed it. The character are still more personable with Barney and Willy getting actual dialogue, not just technical talk and nodding! Rollin is still flirting with Cinnamon while she acts like a mother hen. I would never have put Barbara Bain in my Top 10 Hottest 60s TV Actresses but I might have to rethink that! Briggs is a bit too deadpan for me but he seems torn about allowing his agents to suffer but not leaving them behind!
My biggest gripe is the amount of hats most men are wearing! It's silly but it really dates this season!
Good lord, the Lanterns show is so much better than I anticipated. I guess, given the writers and the joy I had watching the Watchmen show, I should have known.
One of the best things about Lanterns is that both Holly (my wife) and my co-workers, who have had no interest in other superhero shows, are really into it, as well.
I'm really enjoying Lanterns too. It took a while for me to get in sync with it, but episode 3 did the trick. Looking forward to seeing a little more of 2026, though!
