THIS IS US: We watched the season premiere last night. The introduced lots of new characters. I wasn’t really in the mood for new characters… at first. But I knew right from the start that they’d get us interested in the characters, but wait until the end to establish their relationship to the main cast. This Is Us is easily our favorite show currently on the air.

My wife and I are enjoying Netflix's Dark. We've only the final two episodes of Season 1 to finish. We're having a good time discussing the concept of time loops.

My wife loves This is us and New Amsterdam. This morning, she's excitedly fillin me in on the seasons' premieres and who are all the new TiU characters.

I've been making my way through Ken Burns' new documentary Country Music, and it has been fabulous. I've watched the first four, and it is a time commitment as each episode is about 2 hours long. Highly recommended if you are a country music fan. Even if you aren't I think you should see it, because it is Ken Burns and you know it will be damn good.

I couldn't have said it better, Travis. I will watch anything Ken Burns creates. It's always fascinating, and this one is no exception. I binged the first four episodes last weekend, and I'm looking forward to watching the second half soon.

Jonan, my wife and I inhaled Dark. At first we were intrigued by the time jumble, sorting out the order and guessing which mysterious figure was a time traveler and from when. That carried us to the point where we actually cared about the characters, and then ... well, I won't spoil anything. I'm eager for you to watch it all and report back.

It's a very well done show. The F/X are good enough, sometimes excellent, but it's the care the writers have taken with the characters and plots that really sucks you in. We've finished Season/Series 2 and the ride just keeps getting wilder. I've read that the showrunners plan three seasons, and then ending it. Can't wait for that third season!

Meanwhile, we're watching Legion Season 3. And it's virtually hallucinogenic. It's terrific to be alive at a time when shows like this are getting green-lighted. It's not for everyone, but it's certainly for me.

We finished season 1 last night - wild! Good to read there's a possible definite ending to the series. I don't know how such a premise could be sustained over multiple seasons, but with the quality writing, the could've found a way.  My wife and I are eager to jump into Season 2. I'll definitely chime in here.

I've not heard of Legion, but will look into it. Thanks for the mention.

I was surprised no one brought up Legion when Season 3 rolled out. Trippy!

I never finished Season 1. I don't know why. I loved the episodes I saw. I just never got around to finishing it. I hope I get snowed in sometime this winter so I will have a chance to watch it--or I guess I could make a concerted effort to watch it some other time!

Finished watching Ken Burns Country Music. Highly recommended. The early episodes were especially fascinating since I was not very familiar with country music pre-1960's.

Cool stuff. I'm not a country music fan, but do enjoy seeing how all things America developed in our country. I may have to check it out. I do love bluegrass, though. Surely the documentary covers some blue grass or cajun and/or zydeco?

Bluegrass, how it got its name and became separated from mainstream Country is covered
