OUR GANG: We have now moved on from volume five to volume six (1936-1938). I suspect this next batch of 22 shorts will be more familiar to me. It is during this span of time that the shorts go from 20-minute two-reellers to 10-minute one-reelers, and it occurs to me that this format is more conducive to syndicated TV format, which where I know them from.

TALES OF THE WALKING DEAD: S1 E5: A noir fragmented memory tale.

MIRANDA: S1 E1: This is the British show Mayim Bialik's Call Me Cat is based on. We watch Call Me Cat but Tracy enjoys it more than I do. We both agree that Miranda is funnier (probably because Miranda Hart is funnier than Mayim Bialik). There are three "seasons" (of six episodes each) available.

Peggy and I have watched Miranda all the way through at least 3 times. Lately, we're watching Fresh Off the Boat and Life in Pieces. I'm enjoying both of them more than I expected. We just finished Samantha Who? It kind of lost its way toward the end.

Loved Fresh Off the Boat. Randall Park, who played the father, has played Jimmy Woo in the Marvel productions Ant-Man and the Wasp, Wandavision and the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

He's always fun to watch.

Park often brings the cringe to Young Rock. I like him in it, but I've heard others say they don't.

We watched an episode of She-Hulk last night. (I think we're an episode behind.) For some reason, Wong (or at least a character named Wong) rather than Dr. Strange is the Sorcerer Supreme. I suspect they couldn't get Benedict Cumberbatch.

They're following the movie continuity. In the five years when half of the universe was wiped out by Thanos, the absent Dr Strange was replaced as Sorcerer Supreme by Wong.

OUR GANG: We finished up all the Our Gang "talkies" from 1929-1944. Now we're working our way through the silent era (available on Youtube) starting in 1922.

Right now I'm watching coverage of Queen Elizabeth's funeral procession.

I watched some of that, too.  It must have been very wearing slow-marching across half of London.  It was nice of them to let all the non-white guys stay home and relax.

Right. I think Benedict Cumberbatch could have appeared for a cameo (or been made to appear for a cameo) if they really needed or wanted him.

TALES OF THE WALKING DEAD: S1 E6: A couple moves into a haunted house (if you believe in that sort of thing). Synchronicity: I just finished reading Henry James' The Turn of the Screw, which is written along similar lines.
