Witchcraft: La Terreur, the three issue Vertigo miniseries sequel by James Robinson, Michael Zulli, and Vince Locke. I read the original series during my previous vacation week, and thought of this since I'm about to vacation again. This is more focused than the original series. It's all set in one time period--the French Revolution--and focuses on one woman becoming a witch (along with two friends, to create the maiden/mother/crone triumvirate). The ending was a bit disappointing, but it's still worth reading, and of course the art is gorgeous. The "On the Ledge" column and monthly "Available" list are always interesting. One of these includes an announcement of the aborted Flex Mentallo trade. Also finished the first Bizarro Comics collection, which I started reading a couple of months back and set aside. Good goofy fun, but I can't say I'm in any rush to seek out the second one.
I just finished Trinity Book 2... I've just been burning through it. Volume 3 is in the mail, on its way to me.

I love Mark Bagley's art.

I've always considered him more of a utility player than a major star, but judging by the excellent expressions on people's faces, as well as the sheer clarity of the action, I realize I've been selling him far short. With this reread, he's become one of my favorite artists.

I became a huge fan of his after reading his run on Ultimate Spider-Man .
Started The Invisibles Vol.3: Entropy in the U.K., which opens with the three-issue title arc. Gorgeous artwork from the Phil Jimenez/John Stokes team. More when I visit the Morrison thread later.
I read the Parker graphic novel by Darwyn Cooke. Totally kick ass.

I'm looking forward to that; I'm sure the library will get it. Today I read two more issues in The Invisibles Vol. 3, and the first issue in Air Vol. 2: Flying Machine. Like jumping from one crazy conspiracy theory to another!
Finished the Dark Reign Fantastic Four collection and started a discussion over in the Baxter Building group...I really enjoyed it...
Two more issues of The Invisibles Vol. 3, and two more from Air Vol. 2.
We're reading The Incredible Hercules: Love and War and the fourth volume of 20th Century Boys...
Three comics read to the girls at bedtime last night: the newest Tiny Titans (the all Pet Club issue), the Super Friends issue with the Bizarro team, and the Brave & Bold issue where Batman and Captain Marvel fight the Queen of Fables (and Cap is turned into a giant red dragon...Rose loves that part)...
Showcase #82, the first appearance of Nightmaster
This morning I finished The Invisibles Vol. 3 (off to the Morrison thread later), and Air Vol. 2. These stories really start to open up the history of the hyperprax devices. The last issue especially, which is set in Aztlan in 1063 AD. Wilson's basic premise now looks much bigger than it first appeared: big enough to allow for a wide variety of stories, like many of the classic Vertigo series.
