"Wrath of the Titans"... And can someone please tell me why Amazon sellers are asking 100-200 dollars for the trade? I got mine, new, for ten bucks, which is two dollars less than cover.
The first few issues of DMZ Vol. 7: War Powers. I'm expecting some big changes by the end of the title arc. And Book One of Deadman: Love after Death by Mike Baron & Kelly Jones. This is a pre-Vertigo "Suggested for Mature Readers" DC title. Nice and spooky, and I love the Kelley Jones art.
This actually includes yesterday, but what the hey.
Green Lantern: The Sinestro Corps War vol.2
Batman: The Cult - I had never read it before, but my LCS had a box of trades on sale when I was there last week. and I bought this. As someone who has mentioned before how he is tired of reading Starlin stories, it was nice to read one in Batman's world. I really good story, and I love the Bernie Wrightson art. I didn't expect the level of violence or language it had, especially for a story in continuity.
Batman: A Death in the Family - That is right I had never read this one before either (another LCS sbuy). I knew how it ended, but there were still plenty of surprises in there for me. I never really read that many stories with Jason Todd, and after reading this one and the one above, I kind of liked him actually. I liked the introductory text piece of this story. Written as a historical article in the future. I also enjoyed Jim Starlin's article at the end.
The Shadow #1 - This would be Howard Chaykin's mini series he did for DC back in 1986, with both writing and art duties. I am not usually a fan of Chaykin's art, but he is much tighter in this series so it looks pretty good.
