The boys in my reading program all want to read Calvin & Hobbes, but it's a bit of an ordeal for me, because they really don't get a lot of jokes which are over their heads.

What made me smile today was the grin on Sydney Crosby's face after he scored the second goal for Canada and his first goal for the series.

I was in an Antique Mall today and saw a telephone booth for sale. Unfortunately no one ducked into it while I was there. If anyone is interested it is only $1200.

My friend posted this on Facebook.

Now, that is funny.

It's all well and good until a group of Inuits show up in his freezer.

Awesome!

Found out on of the writers from the TV show Justified is a big fan of the sports radio station I listen to, and he has been inserting names of the personalities from the station into the stories.

Listening to the first half of Dan Slott's interview on "Let's Talk Comics" today was pure gold. His first encounter with Spider-Man. How he got his "internship" at Marvel. The reasons he likes Marvel over DC, along with his favorite DC characters. This is the second Dan Slott interview I've heard in two weeks. It is by FAR the best one.

Overheard on the radio a few moments ago,"He'll tell us the Bert Campaneris jock strap story later."

LOL

I was at a funeral yesterday for a dear old lady who was a longtime member of my church. At the front of the church was a collage of photos of her and her husband, from their 60(!) years together -- hanging out with friends, with their children and grandchildren, on trips and such.

One in particular made me smile; it was them at one of their anniversaries, dressed to the nines, he in a tuxedo, and she in a white gown, both with happy smiles that could melt the Fortress of Solitude. I want to be them when I grow up.
