"Inspired by the "James Bond DVD..." thread - listening to Thunderball:Original Soundtrack. Listening to this album makes me realize how important John Barry's music was to the impact of the early films."

Comic Book Greats Interviewed

I came across an interview series on the Comic Book Historians website that I highly recommend. Interviews were originally done in the late '90's and early 2000's. Many of the interviewees are no longer with us. Hearing these greats telling the story of their life in comic books is priceless.David Armstrong InterviewsSee More

"I always check publication dates. It seems like a necessity if you want to have some understanding of the writer's perspective. In the last year or so I have read a few of Erle Stanley Gardner's Perry Mason books most of which were written…"

doc photo replied to Randy Jackson's discussion Most inspirational artists in American Comics
"I think John Buscema and Bernie Wrightson would qualify. They weren't comic book artists but it seems as if most Golden Age artists sited Hal Foster, Milt Caniff and Alex Raymond as inspiration for them."

"In some ways Andor reminds me more of Blade Runner than Star Wars. And it shows again that the best Star Wars stories are the smaller ones not involving any of the key characters from the original saga."

"Stan Lee - A Marvelous Life by Danny Fingeroth. I have read several books about Stan Lee and/or Marvel and Fingeroth's is the most insightful and even-handed telling of who Stan was and what made Marvel so successful in the Sixties."
