Mark Sullivan (Vertiginous Mod) replied to Mark Sullivan (Vertiginous Mod)'s discussion New Romancer (Peter Milligan & Brett Parson)

Rob Staeger (Grodd Mod) replied to Mark Sullivan (Vertiginous Mod)'s discussion New Romancer (Peter Milligan & Brett Parson)
"This one sounded like fun to me, but I passed on it for money reasons, and I never heard any buzz about it after the fact. It sounds like something I'd enjoy, though. And man, the pun of the title is just delicious."

Mark Sullivan (Vertiginous Mod) replied to Rob Staeger (Grodd Mod)'s discussion Dan Didio no longer at DC
"No one would like to see Vertigo return more than me, but I'll be surprised if it happens. I agree that it was a strong brand during much of its run, even during periods when it was having trouble finding hits. But the imprint floundered so…"

Mark Sullivan (Vertiginous Mod) replied to Captain Comics's discussion 'Locke and Key,' 'Katy Keene' both come from comics, but couldn't be more different
"I really enjoyed Locke & Key, and thought it was true to the spirit of the comics. I read them so long ago that I barely remember the divergences you point out, which probably helps! I definitely plan to reread them sometime. I'll confess…"

Curse Words Vol. 5: Fairy-Tale Ending

Curse Words Vol. 5: Fairy-Tale EndingCharles Soule, writer; Ryan Browne, artistImage Comics, 2020Curse Words has always been an unpredictable fantasy story, and that continues to be true for the finale. The path to the fairy-tale ending is jagged, and the ending is not guaranteed. In fact much of the final arc is a battle royal. But the collection actually opens with the…See More

Heroes Convention 2009

Posted on June 19, 2009 at 11:26pm 2 Comments

Thanks, Mark. Just clearing up a question a friend made of me about the review of Don Quixote (I'm NOT that Rob Davis). This looks like a fun place, though I doubt I'll have much time to visit often.
