Travis Meidell replied to Captain Comics's discussion Collections: How close are we to the end?
"Did you all see that Dark Horse is releasing TPB for these? They started with Tales from the Crypt Vol 1. I am curious if: They will really do all of them in TPB? (I have my doubts) If they'll do the Gemstone volumes with Dark Horse branding.…"

Travis Meidell replied to Captain Comics's discussion Collections: How close are we to the end?
"That is the worst! It drives me nuts whenever a company changes design or switches to TPB in the middle of the process. Even the EC Archives bug me when I am switching from the Gemstone days to the Dark Horse days. I would buy the Gemstone again as…"

Travis Meidell replied to Captain Comics's discussion Collections: How close are we to the end?
"It's very on par with Levitz's DC book and the Marvel one as well. They all look quite nice sitting on the shelf together. At this point I would love a book like this that focuses on pre-code horror from all companies. While I love EC,…"

Travis Meidell replied to Captain Comics's discussion Collections: How close are we to the end?
"I picked up that Taschen! It is truly gorgeous. I've read many books on EC and this book didn't reveal a ton of new info, but the pictures more than made up for that. Highly recommended"

Travis Meidell replied to Captain Comics's discussion EC Archives: How close are we to the end?
"I like that method. I totally agree. I would love a "complete EC" series that puts everything in that kind of order. "

Travis Meidell replied to Captain Comics's discussion EC Archives: How close are we to the end?
"Here's hoping. It would be a shame to fall three issues short of a complete EC. "

Travis Meidell replied to Captain Comics's discussion EC Archives: How close are we to the end?
"The latest volume of Frontline that came out in Oct went up to 12. Which means 13-15 aren't collected yet, unless they are somewhere else? I guess we'd get one more smaller volume? "

Travis Meidell replied to Captain Comics's discussion EC Archives: How close are we to the end?
"I am with you and Captain Comics, my shelf space is so full. I am glad we are nearing the end of EC mostly because of space issues, but also because it will be nice to have it all collected. I haven't picked up the Warren publishing books…"

Travis Meidell replied to Captain Comics's discussion EC Archives: How close are we to the end?
"Sorry Captain, I just saw this post asking about the Taschen. The only two others I own are the DC and Marvel histories which are both fantastic. They take a pretty in-depth look at the history of those two companies and have lots of great images.…"

Travis Meidell replied to Captain Comics's discussion EC Archives: How close are we to the end?
"Yeah who knows with that Taschen thing? Could be cool if it happens. I am not too stressed either way. I really hope they give us the Picto-Fiction line. Fingers crossed on that one! "

Travis Meidell replied to Captain Comics's discussion EC Archives: How close are we to the end?
"Okay, I went and found the original post. It was posted on EC Comics Instagram on March 21 and reads:  The word is out! The Wonderful, Horrible EC Comics Book will be released by @taschen! The trim size is about 15.5 inches by 11.5 inches…"

Travis Meidell replied to Captain Comics's discussion EC Archives: How close are we to the end?
"I had the same debate as both of you. What I am hoping is that it comes with a few essays or extras in the back. If it doesn't, I might pass unless I find it discounted somewhere. Of course, I say that now, but the odds are, I'll buy it…"

Travis Meidell replied to Captain Comics's discussion EC Archives: How close are we to the end?
"Yeah, not those black and white ones. :) If you check the spins on your books, you'll probably see Gemstone on a few of them. "

Travis Meidell replied to Captain Comics's discussion EC Archives: How close are we to the end?
"Hey Rob,  The Gemstone collection started the EC Archives, but later ran out of money or something and they stopped making them. Eventually Dark Horse picked up the rights from Gemstone and continued the line of EC Archives. So there…"
