On this day 10 years ago, I was in an accident that totaled my car. I am grateful today for three things:
That I was in the car by myself; I doubt a passenger would have survived.
That I walked away from it whole; save for some pain in my side that lasted about a week, I was and remain physically sound.
That God saw fit to spare me, that I may carry on in this world and be the husband, father and person He wants me to be.
I am also grateful to have had these years as a member of this forum. We've been together through various locations in cyberspace, but I've always found it a warm and welcoming home.

Not that this is another milestone, but today is the fourth anniversary of my second motor vehicle accident. I was riding on a transit bus to work, and it hit another transit bus in front of us. The driver of the bus I was on thought the bus in front of him was moving. It wasn't.
In terms of physical harm, the first accident hurt worse but caused less damage; the pain eventually went away after a few days from the first one, but I broke two teeth in the second one.
I used to walk around thinking, well, I've had one accident, so it can't happen to me again. Boy, was I wrong! So, I'm really, really grateful to be here.
Thanks for that link to June 2001, Rich. Fascinating. Fun to see a time when everything was up for debate, and we didn't all know both sides of every argument before starting a discussion.
Loved this (horribly out of context) reply from our Captain to one Mailbag correspondant:
And we certainly would have missed you too!
Here's what the site looked like (more or less) about that time:
