Ok, how about this for an idea. We take it in turns to post a favourite (British spelling) comic cover every day. This went really well on the comic fan website that I used to frequent. What we tried to do was find a theme or subject and follow that, until we all got bored with that theme. I'd like to propose a theme of letters of the alphabet. So, for the remainder of October (only 5 days) and all of November, we post comic cover pictures associated with the letter "A". Then in December, we post covers pertaining to the letter "B". The association to the letter can be as tenuous as you want it to be. For example I could post a cover from "Adventure Comics" or "Amazing Spider Man". However Spider Man covers can also be posted when we're on the letter "S". Adventure Comic covers could also be posted when we're on the letter "L" if they depict the Legion of Super Heroes. So, no real hard, fast rules - in fact the cleverer the interpretation of the letter, the better, as far as I'm concerned.
And it's not written in stone that we have to post a cover every day. There may be some days when no cover gets posted. There's nothing wrong with this, it just demonstrates that we all have lives to lead.
If everyone's in agreement I'd like to kick this off with one of my favourite Action Comic covers, from January 1967. Curt Swan really excelled himself here.

The "Birth" of the Invaders as Yellowjacket, the Black Panther and the Vision are sent back to 1941 Paris to battle Captain America, the Sub-Mariner and the Original Human Torch who were actually from 1942! See Invaders Annual #1 (1977)!
Were there any rumors about the Vision's connection to the Torch this early?
Abra Kadabra, criminal magician from the 64th century, giving the finger to the Flash on the occasion of their first crosstime meeting.
Below was one memorable team up to this (then younger) reader's eyes. Image courtesy of the Grand Comics Database.
Superman #165: Supes meets Circe. Just in case it's sliiped your memory, Circe was the Greek goddess of sorcery, known in Homer's Odyssey for transforming Odysseus's men into pigs on her island of Aeaea. She is the daughter of the Titan sun god Helios and the ocean nymph Perseis, and is often depicted as a powerful enchantress who used herbs and spells to practice her magic.
Was this where his vulnerability to magic was establshed? Or was it Mxyzptlk?
Tales to Astonish #23. "Moomba" makes me think of the robot vacuum cleaner.
Millennial Archie meets Original Archie. It was a fun throwaway story, with my only nit...
...being 1942 Archie stating that Riverdale High had just opened. I guess, but it always seemed to me that, in any era, Riverdale High is already an established local institute when the gang arrives.
This is a pretty obvious crosstime story.
Superman goes back to World War II...again! This time he's involved with Albert Einstein, Adolf Hitler and BLACKHAWK and his team.
Fun Fact: Kirk Alyn played both Superman and Blackhawk in late 40s movie serials!
