Ok, how about this for an idea. We take it in turns to post a favourite (British spelling) comic cover every day. This went really well on the comic fan website that I used to frequent. What we tried to do was find a theme or subject and follow that, until we all got bored with that theme. I'd like to propose a theme of letters of the alphabet. So, for the remainder of October (only 5 days) and all of November, we post comic cover pictures associated with the letter "A". Then in December, we post covers pertaining to the letter "B". The association to the letter can be as tenuous as you want it to be. For example I could post a cover from "Adventure Comics" or "Amazing Spider Man". However Spider Man covers can also be posted when we're on the letter "S". Adventure Comic covers could also be posted when we're on the letter "L" if they depict the Legion of Super Heroes. So, no real hard, fast rules - in fact the cleverer the interpretation of the letter, the better, as far as I'm concerned.
And it's not written in stone that we have to post a cover every day. There may be some days when no cover gets posted. There's nothing wrong with this, it just demonstrates that we all have lives to lead.
If everyone's in agreement I'd like to kick this off with one of my favourite Action Comic covers, from January 1967. Curt Swan really excelled himself here.

This fits, right? I mean, 32 is "Beyond Thirty," right? Oh, and it's also a book cover. Okay, if not....
How about one #32 and some non-comic 32 titles, then?
You should do this every month!
I have this as one of my rotating desktop screens. I created it for my class website, some years back:
I did something similar with a mix tape using ages mentioned in song lyrics ("You're 16, you're beautiful and you're mine," "Well, she was just 17," etc.).
"Zero hour, 9am." "Rocket Man" could take two spots.
No, it has to be ages: "She was only 16," "When I was 17, it was a very good year," "When I'm 64," etc.
It strikes me that most British comics that I knew in my childhood had split covers, because of the large number of short strips included in each issue. Just a very few examples:
I loved finding this series whenever I could and this one has a Twilight Zone vibe!
I love that From Beyond The Unknown cover Philip - ace!
It's Robert Crumb's birthday today. Born 30 Aug 1943, he is 83 today. While going through some of his art and cartoon pages (I have many), I came across this one, drawn in 1975. Is it just me, or does the image imposed on the outline of the US look rather like a more current president?
