Commercial on Comet TV for weird science fiction movie called She (clearly not based on the classic novel): "You might want to steal somebody's sister, but don't. Because brothers always come after their sister and might team up with goddesses, amazons, and a big guy in a tutu to rescue them. You should steal a mother-in-law. Because nobody goes after them."

Not familiar with Terror Beneath the Sea, although I've seen the star in other films from that time period.

Very odd considering Belit was only in one story. But then so was Red Sonya. Interestingly Sonya ended up with an atypical Howard character, a German who had a severe drinking problem, and seemed to consider herself his girl, something Red Sonja would not have done. I believe most of Howard's heroes were Irish. I know Conan and Kull were. Wonder how he would have reacted to a blond Conan. Must have not read the "Hither came Conan the Cimmerian. Black haired, sullen eyed" bit.

Valiant is still going?

Just returned from a walk to the Del Taco only about two blocks away from my house. On the way back, I pass some guy with a cart that says "What up, white boy? Partying?" I say yeah and walk away as he continues talking. Didn't get the rest of what he said and really didn't want to. And this used to be such a nice, safe neighborhood.

It all starts with Gertie.

Prehistoric fiction was a genre at the turn of the century. Authors include J.-H Rosny, Jack London, H. G. Wells and Edgar Rice Burroughs.

There were also early comics on the subject: E.T. Reed's Prehistoric Peeps in Punch, and Frederick Burr Opper's Our Antediluvian Ancestors. Alley Oop came along in 1932.
