My reaction to the news I just heard about from the latest issue of Human Target:

Oh no!

Anyway...

I think many of you will appreciate this new 7-minute-plus segment on Ann-Margret

The one and only Ann-Margret

That is so weird, my parents were talking about her at dinner on Sunday.

Maybe not so weird. The segment was on the CBS Sunday Morning show. They may have watched it.

Heidi McDonald's interview with Keith Knight for The Comics Beat:

He of the strips/panels The Knight Life, The K Chronicles and (th)ink, followed by the Hulu show Woke.

Westfield Comics is selling Spider-Man Toasters! Someone had to think of this.

I've been mocking Entertainment Weekly for the past few years because it dropped its print frequency down to monthly a while back. I've been a subscriber, but admittedly read it less often when it came to my home less often. Now that it's not even weekly, it's just one more website among the many, and it's not like I can read them all.

I am going to my niece's wedding in about five weeks and am distraught that the suit I planned to wear doesn't fit me anymore! The jacket's a bit too tight and the pants are now too small! While I no longer eat as much as I did before my heart surgery, I am also not as active.

So I've cut even more food from my diet and am trying to take daily walks but I am going to see if the pants could be altered.

Since I have to leave the house to go to work now, which I haven't had to do for several years, I found that a lot of my suits and jackets didn't fit me any more. But in weird ways ... I've lost a little weight, but the pants were droopy and the jackets were tight across the shoulders and loose at the waist, and the sleeves were really, really long.

The garments were not just too big; they didn't fit. And I was baffled at how I didn't notice that before when I wore those things.

I was in a waiting room the other day. When I entered, the receptionist was having a conversation with one of the other waiters about pets. I didn't have anything to say on the topic, but that's cool; we have a cat who lets us share our house with her. The receptionist was telling the other woman that her mother used to have both dogs and cats, but now she only has four cats. She said she was kind of hoping that the cats would die soon because her mother is getting older and she didn't want the cats to outlive her mother. Then she added, "She's almost 55."
